Food stalls around Angkor Wat

Posted 1 year ago by avatar jack in response to tyrone's question: I'm planning a day trip to Angkor Wat temple. Are there any restaurants in the area or should I bring food with me? (give a different answer) .

You don't need to bring any food with you, maybe some fruit and bottled water to wash it with. The less you carry around the less you'll feel the heat or exhaustion while you explore the temple. Near the temple there are a lot of food stalls where you can have a refreshing lunch, the only problem would be which one to choose because the minute the vendors see you they start calling you to eat at their place. They sell basic food - chicken curry, fresh coconut, noodle soup, fried rice - but it's so tasty after a day on foot.
